Hello neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking together at the Weigh-Safe OEM Gooseneck Ball and Pucks for the RAM trucks. So folks, this is gonna give you a nice hard case. The two pucks for tying down the safety chains, a cover for the hole when you're not using the gooseneck ball, a nice set of keys, and of course, Weigh-Safe's built-in scale. So a great addition, if you've never used these parts before, folks, they're really nice. They give you the tongue weight scale right there on it once you put the weight of your trailer on there and everything and everything installed correctly.

So that's gonna help you know if I need to adjust my load, heavier, lighter, whatnot, to a safe tongue weight on the tongue of the coupler itself. So that's gonna result in a much safer and enjoyable towing experience. It's a 2 and 5/16 inch high grade stainless steel ball and housing, the max towing weight, again, 30,000 pounds rated and a max vertical weight rating of 7,500 pounds. Now I wanna show you why I got it zoomed in here. If you notice, again, this is for RAM only.

You'll notice that the pucks, the thickness here are slightly different. One's thicker and one's thinner. Again, that's RAM only. And the stainless steel sliders will slide up and down depending on how you have 'em orientated in the puck holes to then lock it to where it can't turn back and come back out. So, very nice feature as well.

The cover for the center hole is nice hard rubber, so you don't have to worry about that, letting water and stuff get inside where you're gonna be putting the ball. A nice rubberized cap to keep the lock portion safe from dirt, debris, water. When I have this unlocked, it pops out and now the two balls here come very loose so I can go in and out of the puck. Whenever I got it out of place, I simply push in and rotate the key back to lock position and now these two balls are not coming back out and now I can't pull the ball back out of the puck itself. It is V19 and J2638 certified for safety and you get this nice hard plastic carrying case as well.

Now this case is really nice, I like it. It's got everything pre-molded. They've got a lot of safety warnings here. Tell you about the scale, they tell you about how to install it, they tell you about maintenance and those kind of things, so, and they also have the information of Weigh-Safe in there as well. So we're gonna go ahead and put everything back in the case here. And it's very simple to use, very simple to put away, and that keeps everything in a nice central location for you, whether you put it back in your toolbox, behind the seat, under the seat, wherever.
